The council has decided to begin outdoor worship this Sunday, July 26th at 10:30 am and the following Sundays in/or beside the pavilion. We will provide sanitized folding chairs for you. If there would be a need to cancel, the Executive Committee would make that decision and you would be informed by 4:00pm the Friday before Sunday.
If you do not feel well, have been in contact with someone with Covid-19 or consider yourself vulnerable, we ask that you please stay home.
We will continue live broadcasting the service on Facebook.
We will use an FM transmitter so if you choose to remain in your car you can listen on your radio. We will provide you with the station number.
When we have Holy Communion on the first, third and fifth Sunday of the month we will provide individual packets that will have a wafer and grape juice (gluten free wafers will still be available) that you will take in your seats.
In order to provide a worship service as safe as possible and based on current science and medical information the worship planning team is asking that we all observe the following steps:
We will take your temperature upon arriving.
We are requiring everyone to wear a mask. If you would rather not wear a mask we would kindly ask you to either remain at home or in your car.
We will be ushering you to your seats to ensure that we have social distancing of 6 feet. Please sit in family units.
We will also usher you out of the pavilion after the service.
We can only have 50 people at an outdoor event. If we have over 50 we will need to ask you to please return to your car to listen to the service on your radio.
We will not be singing the hymns. Studies have shown that increases the likelihood of spreading the virus. We will still have hymns that will be sung by two leaders. (You are welcome to hum along.)
The fellowship hall is closed except that the restrooms will be available.
Some may choose to bring their own seat cushion for the metal folding chair.
We know that a number of you will not feel comfortable coming and that is OK. You can still participate in your home though the online option.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as well as your prayers and continued financial support.
